War, poverty, cultural backwardness, gender-based poverty, internal migrations, and lack of awareness of children’s rights are major factors that expose children to the worst forms of sexual abuse in home, street, religious schools, and sometimes mainstream school’s environments. Our mission in this area: Interventions with educational content for families. Addressing the economic situation of families who send their children to the streets and cities to earn money.

Child protection is a critical issue in Afghanistan given the country’s complex socio-political landscape. Here are some key aspects which CTCO is focused on:

“CTCO is dedicated to transforming the lives of Afghan children by providing education, healthcare, and protection from violence, ensuring every child can thrive in a safe and supportive environment.”

Despite these efforts, ongoing conflict, poverty, and cultural factors continue to pose challenges to child protection in Afghanistan. More comprehensive and sustained efforts are needed to ensure the well-being and rights of all children in the country.
